But what makes this situation even more tragic is the helplessness of his parents. Devendra’s family is completely destitute, living on the streets outside AIIMS hospital. They have no money for food, often going hungry themselves just to try and save a few rupees for their son’s treatment. They watch their little boy cry out in pain every day, powerless to comfort him or provide the life-saving treatment he needs. His mother weeps silently, unable to bear the sight of her child suffering, while his father searches endlessly for ways to raise the ₹12 lakhs needed for his surgery—a sum so overwhelming for a family that cannot even afford their next meal.

Devendra’s body is giving up, but his spirit still holds on, hoping for a miracle. Every passing day without treatment brings him closer to losing the battle. The pain he endures is unimaginable, and the sight of his tiny frame fighting such a big battle is heart-wrenching. But there is still hope if we come together to help.
